I would never want the only thing between me and a hard vacuum to be an inflatable.
I think the whole idea is conceptual in nature, Ie nice to dream about in a science fiction sort of way.
I am not saying that it has not or never will be experimented with.
I just believe that modules will be the near term approach.
However there is merit in the idea of a flexible type of kevlar shield that would deflect small meteorites, something that is not placed on the module but a distance away.
