fun to keep the parties guessing

I still truly belive that we Americans need to mess with the parties and the poll takers. Switch parties constantly just to vote against people you really dislike in the primaries. When poll takers call or write, give them the most bizarre answers you can think of. Be totally inconsistent. Wouldn't it be refreshing if the pollsters just had to give up because they were always wrong?

We have such collective power if only people would use their brains a bit. The national no-call list would never have been necessary if we'd all simply never did business with some company that called.

A friend of mine and I played our own game of screwing with the political parties in the last national election. We were both waffling about who to vote for - Bush or Gore. I was leaning towards Gore and he towards Bush but believe me, neither of us really wanted either idiot. So we agreed we'd cancel out each other's vote and both voted libertarian. I would never have done that on my own knowing a vote against my default choice would be similar to voting for the greater of the two evils but knowing my polar opposite did the same thing took away the waste. If only we could start a national trend of hooking up people voting opposite parties and making agreements for them to vote "other" we might be able to bring some credibility to other party choices. Of course the scheme all depends on honesty. My buddy is a salesman. lol
