Obviously Hersh has independent access to the tapes. Or maybe you think the DoD decided it would be a swell idea to show them to their good buddy Hersh?

It's easy to see what motives the DoD might have for suppressing these tapes, some of them political, some legal.

The challenge is to show what motive Hersh, supposedly an objective journalist, has for squatting on this information, other than political.

My call on it is that he's a buttmonkey for the Democratic Party, and is timing news stories and video releases for maximum election impact. What's yours?
