re: Iraqi security forces
The Iraqis do seem to be cracking down pretty hard. Soon you're going to hear human-rights complaints about how poorly the guerillas and terrorists are being treated.
I did a Top Ten List of ways to tell the war in Iraq has been won. It was only partly in jest.
In particular, watch for the Left around the world to begin condemning the leadership in Iraq for being "just like Saddam." The "execution" rumor going around is part of this.
Actually, my top way to tell the war has been won is when Iraq has its first election where the incumbents lose, and they step down without a fuss. Bingo.
