Some busy with COSPAR? Plus, Beagle 3 proposed...
I know Squyres at least was at the COSPAR conference in Europe last week, and it wouldn't be surprising if other team scientists were too, so between prepping for it and being gone last week, that might slow things down.
Meanwhile, at COSPAR, Colin Pillinger argued for sending Beagle 3 to Mars, specificially, urging NASA to let it hitch a ride on the Mars Science Lander in 2009.
Pillinger noted that the most likely explanation for the Beagle 2 failure was that: "...the gremlins of Mars changed the composition of the atmosphere to the point where it was thinner than we anticipated"
