I misidentified one each both ways.
The fraud that got me was the "US Bank" email, and that because they invited me to visit the website, which would be inviting trouble if they were frauds and someone actually did. (I never, ever click on links in email unless it has to do with an ongoing conversation about news or books or something.) The way it was signed, "The U.S BANK Security Department Team.", also made me pause, but there's a lot of "team" this and "team" that in corporatespeak these days. Lesson #1: always trust the first instinct.
The legit one that I thought was a fraud was the second PayPal email. I am gravely suspicious! of business emails! that contain a lot of exclamation marks!!!! Even though it seemed harmless enough, I didn't trust it. Lesson #2: enthusiasm is not always a sign of fraud.
Thanks for a fun quiz!
