Thanks kindly for this link, its very deep with some great reading. One that I happened across from USGS and the Mars Express team was :
http://gsa.confex.com/gsa/2004AM/finalprogram/abstract_79364.htm
ACTIVE MISSION DATA SHOW CONVINCING EVIDENCE OF AMAZINGLY YOUNG GLACIAL PROCESSES AND VARIABLE AGES OF ILD FORMATION IN AN EQUATORIAL CHASM OF VALLES MARINERIS
CHAPMAN, Mary G., SODERBLOM, Laurence A., and CUSHING, Glen, Astrogeology Team, U.S. Geol Survey, 2255 N. Gemini Road, Flagstaff, AZ 86001, mchapman@usgs.gov
Its a bit hard to tell what they're talking about without the reference images, which don't seem to currently available...but i'm curious if anyone could do a little geologist->english translation for us laypeople. Their title sure sounds ...excited.
