Distributed Observation System
Hi Glenn
The last item you mentioned won't be found at Encyclopedia Astronautica - tho the Mova stuff has extensive articles there - and the concept of making a massive interferometer out of observatories around the Solar System has a great appeal but is fundamentally flawed. At the distances you've described the average photon count per pixel at 200' resolution drops down well below noise levels. What is needed are huge light collection telescopes acting as an interferometer, but they might be able to resolve planetary disks at galactic distances, not 200' resolution.
