Frankly, I just didn't want to open the can of worms.
The Left has been relying on less-than-stringent science for a hell of a lot of things over the past decades, in the areas of the environment, health, and other things. I could do a week's worth of threads on asbestos alone. I wouldn't expect it to change any minds. As with other issues, it depends on whose ox is getting gored.
Tell ya what--get back to me when we are allowed to develop nuclear reactors again, which would be at least as useful as stem cell research.
