Iranian diplomat kidnapped.

An Iranian diplomat who disappeared four days ago in Iraq was apparently kidnapped by Islamic militants, Iranian Embassy officials said. The Arabic language network Al-Arabiya aired a video Sunday from a group identifying itself as the Islamic Army of Iraq. The video showed the diplomat, Fereydoun Jahani, but gave no reason for his kidnapping. The kidnappers have not contacted the embassy or the Iranian government in Tehran, officials said. Iranian state television quoted the Iranian Foreign Ministry confirming the kidnapping and saying the kidnappers had made no demands.
