The state flag of Texas and the national flag of the Republic of Chile are so similar, that it is unlikely anyone who wasn't a resident of either would notice the difference.
Both Cuba and Puerto Rico have similar flags, in the revolutionary tricolor, striped, with a star in a triangular field, its a result of the mutual solidarity of both nations when they fought together against the Spanish Crown for their independence. Both peoples use a similar nickname to Texas to describe their colors; "La Estrella Solitaria": The Lone Star.
