If he let's those jerks free without disarming and discrediting them Iraq will suffer. Sadr should get no benefit from his actions which risked sites sacred to most Iraqi's preciselly because he knows the US is concerned about preserving such sites despite his rhetoric to the contrary. A peacefull disarming is very generous terms for what he has done. He is trying to upset an orderly transition to democracy that the UN has backed.

Where is all the righteous anger from the left that a UN backed plan is once again being upset in Iraq. Funny how it's only a lack of approval that matters. Why should UN approval matter if it means nothing once given? People like Lindy will howl at a lack of UN approval yet side with people like Al Sadr as freedom fighters.
