Recently, the Republicans released an ad called "Intel" that pointed out how, during John Kerry's 8 years on the Senate Intelligence Committee, he missed 76% of the public meetings.

In the rapid response portion of Kerry's website, they posted this rebutal:

John Kerry is an Experienced Leader in the Intelligence Field – John Kerry served on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence for 8 years and is the former Vice Chairman of the Committee. Kerry joined the Committee in early 1993 and served until early 2001.

Only problem is, he was never the Vice Chairman of that committee. That was Senator Bob Kerrey of Nebraska. OOPS!!

Admittedly, the Bush campaign only counts the committee's public meetings, not the private ones. Kerry could easily rebut the ad if he signed the necessary release of the private meetings attendance records, as reported by papers like the Boston Globe and the LA Times.

More and more, it seems like John Kerry's bio is influenced by this story.
