Found late -- but thanks!

Sad to say . . . because of my gig with Ink Pot, I'm forced to use Outlook for SMTP email -- in order to stay compatible with the Ed. in Chief. One of my many tasks is "Submissions Wrangler" (my own coinage): that is, all the submissions come to me; I send an acknowledgment, then forward everything except the poetry to the other editors. I add the first-time submitters' contact info to an Outlook address book, because [a] the EIC already set the thing up, years back, using Outlook; [b] she's not a Geek. Twice a month, I copy all the new addresses to her, because she sends them to Levenger (our sponsor) for their mailing list. It's the copying and merging that forces me to use Outlook, as much as I hate it.

As a matter of fact, until I signed on to Ink Pot, I never used SMTP email -- for a long time, because I didn't own a computer, and had to use public access machines in libraries -- and I still rely on web-mail for everything except Ink Pot biz.

Just signed on to Google Gmail, btw... evaluating before I decide to keep it.
