Nobody can prove that extermination was going to happen, even if they had wished or planned it.
If the three Arab-Israeli wars were not, from the Arab point of view, about the destruction of Israel as a nation, and driving the Jews into the sea, please inform me what the hell the point was. Israel would have been content with the land they were given by the U.N., and had the Arabs just accepted that, this entire issue would never have occurred.
"Nobody can prove that extermination was going to happen" is so lame I don't know where to start. Nobody can "prove" that Hitler, if left alone, would have exterminated every last Jew in Europe either. I don't even understand your concept.
A "war of extermination" is about goals. Results vary, depending on how well your victim can defend itself.
