Allies moving closer to shrine in Najaf
Picking this up from combinations of news and Iraqi bloggers, so quite preliminary. A senior aide to Sadr has been arrested, along with some others. Iraqi authorities are finding loot on these guys--treasures from the shrine. That'll impress the rest of the Shiites. One Iraqi blogger says forces are only "yards" from the shrine.
I have no idea how Sistani is going to affect all this. Hope he doesn't screw it up.
