Bushite shame

Charley took Southwest Florida out of the campaign loop for a week. But now that it’s back, I am in for a real “surprise.” George Bush’s gang lied last election about its peers — fellow American and fellow Republican John McCain, war hero. It worked so well, the GOP has dipped back into the same wells of shame.
This group of “swift boat” detractors has aimed at John Kerry, with all the lies and possible implications. They have taken over $200,000 in support from one prominent Texas Republican and distributed smears that amount to useless and untrue disinformation. They call Sen. Kerry unfit to command.

At the very least, Sen. Kerry has a record to distort and scrutinize! I served four years in Vietnam. I missed one day of duty, and somewhere the Pentagon has a record. With Bush, he fixed his teeth, which is more than I can get. The dental record is all the verification the National Guard has.

The “Bushites” who live in glass houses are attacking a real, true American vet. It is high time for some noise, and sincere protest from vets who support Kerry as a fellow soldier, even if they don’t vote his name as president.
