Well, Fox, last week I saw Venus and Saturn during the day with this telescope.
The two are Marc and Michèle; this picture was last year's gathering; they are now married and were on their honeymoon this year.
Venus had an obvious crescent, but Saturn's rings were barely visible (Saturn is much fainter).
Back home, I don't have the equipment for dayly observations, but it's not impossible.
