oh dear ..
just read in that link that Tinguely was a 'staunch communist'. I can just imagine th links made in certain minds around here .. so I'll just point out that a contemporary and even more radical musical analog, Karlheinz Stockhausen, is a real conservative, whose webmaster, Jim Stonebraker, is an avid and active US Republican.
(.. now that should clear up any possible partisan associations between 'leftism' and radical art, whether good, bad OR ugly ..)
