The world is safer without Saddam !
Can he say that to the Russians and last week?
Can he say that to the people of Israel?
Can he say that to the Nepalis?
To the French?
A safer place, the world?
Sorry, but Iraq is now a terrorist hornets nest, lots of uncontrollable individuals doing whatever they want to hurt anyone they wish.
If americans prefer a guy who's strong but wrong to a guy who's weak but right, they will certainly feel the consequences in the coming 4 years. Voting for the wrong guy has happened before and it has cost millions of lives in the 20th century.
He was wrong about the Iraq 9/11 connection, about the WMDs, about building the peace, about Iraqis welcoming their troops, about chosing Iraq before an Israel-Palestine peace process.
And there's so little chance for a democratic Iraq.
Bush is determined, straightforward, bold, singleminded, but this is nothing but facade, a role he was told to play (otherwise he collapses), without trying to think about the significance. If Kerry isn't the same, it's because he knows very well what the consequences can be, because he's got a mind.
Europeans have far more respect for leaders who think before they act, who don't rely on the improbable allmighty; it's not the same in the US, is that going to change?

- Why yes it is, and it could be safer still except for the axis of weasels (n/t)
- Don't confuse 'safer' with 'safe'
- Just how are you gonna get rid of a hornets nest without destroying it?
- re: Who said that?
- If you think those inccidents are tied in with Saddam no longer being in power, I've got a bridge to sell you.
