The whole scene around observatories is awesome

We have visited McDonald Observatory on several occasions. and have found the personnel, visitors and neighbors around it to be most ineteresting and informed on Astronomy, and happy to share their knowledge with the rest of us mere civilians.
Obviously Keck can't support a community around it at the altitude which you all work, but it is still awesome to hear your reports about what is happening there.
