I've long had 'difficulties' with the 'Big Bang' - as regards said event’s alignment with inception of the universe... To bring it down to a qualitative/pedestrian level: Where there was neither dimension nor existence (You will please pardon the implicit redundancy) "where did the 'bang' come from??
Please don't get me wrong! I am _NOT_ a proponent of creationism!!! – Howbeit undeniable parallels – and, hence, ‘problems’, exist…
---To Wit:---
Whether the universe is issue of an old dude sporting a long white beard _OR_ a 'quasar' of sorts (i.e. the 'BB') clearly it (the universe) _already existed!!!_ -- In that, as described, its inceptor first 'dwelt' therein (i.e. _existed_)?!?! I apologize that this not very scientific nor even eloquent - but then neither is dogma, liturgical _OR_ scientific, which, through circuitous and ‘wondrous’ avenues, would that we mutely accept said contradiction on the grounds that: “the human mind can't get 'round itâ€.... A sentiment which, IMNSHO (with emphasis on the ‘N’) is an 'industrial-strength' cop-out!
Perhaps humanity must embrace infinity, uncomfortable though it is for many... No purpose, no grand plan, no beginning, no end --- But then I guess asking one to view reality as a ‘Russian doll’ is a bit of a stretch… ;)
FWIW I'm neither trolling nor looking for controversy - Should anyone find my _friendly_ observations offensive please put me down as another sorry bloke who just doesn’t 'get it' ;)
With utmost sincerity
