It's hard for me to believe that intelligent, thinking individuals can let the dangers of human life control their logic so much. Crap, our lives are gravy folks, no matter how many terrorists want to do in our way of life. Yeah, basic survival skills tell you to never completely let down your guard but we're in a huge country with millions of friggin people.
If there were a terrorist attack in America every day for the rest of your lives, the real dangers to you such as disease, falling in the bathtub, auto accidents, etc. pose so much greater a risk. It's the fear you have to fear folks. Someday we'll evolve enough to figure that one out.
