One could almost hope for a Bush win, or why Bush should be elected.

Iraq is a problem he created single-handedly, there's no good way out, and no reason Kerry should have to deal with it. The next administration is going to take some hits over that mess, which is getting worse, not better, since "Mission Accomplished".

The deficit, coupled with the ongoing Iraq spending, is going to leave the next administration crippled financially, unless it's Bush. He doesn't mind deficit spending beyond anyone's wildest nightmare.

The trade imbalance will come back to haunt the US. With so much money in the hands of foreigners, the US will become a puppy to more people than just the Saudis. A strange collection of folks will control whether the US heads into recession or depression, and not just the Chinese.

The Saudis are pumping as much oil as possible to keep the prices down. After the election oil will become more scarce, energy prices will rise, and the next administration will have a recession or depression on it's hands. May as well be Bush, who has created the problems.

It would be a disaster for the rest of the world for Bush to be elected, but the US would learn a lesson it wouldn't forget for a long, long time. The backlash will create a new middle class, the formerly wealthy.

Among other things.
