Has SETI found a gas-giant planet, instead of an ET radio-source?

This is a belated response to that story of ET radio signals supposedly detected
by SETI a couple of weeks ago.
The full story can be found in NEW SCIENTIST magazine [Sept/4-10/04], NEWSCIENTIST.COM.

The story indicates some German detected some 1420 Mhz signals [named SHGb02+14a] coming from a location between Pisces and Aries.

(1) 1420Mhz is an emission common to excited hydrogen molecules; Gas-giant planets are rich in
hydrogen.

(2) There' a frequency drift in the signals, ranging between 8 and 37hertz; that's consistent
with a radio-signal emission coming from a rotating body, like a planet.

BUT!..The 8 to 37hertz signal frequency-drift implies a rotating body spinning 40 times
faster than Earth: Jupiter spins about 20 plus times faster than Earth ; a Brown Dwarf, or super-Jupiter, twice the jovian diameter, MIGHT spin 40 times as fast as Earth.

Gas-giants, like Jupiter, are theoretically [and actually: as in the case of Jupiter] powerful emitters of radio energy.

Am I hinting at a possible theory involving a gas-giant way out there, instead of little green-men fiddling with radio dials?
