Strikes me that the AP could get Kerry's service records the same way..
No, they can't. Kerry would first need to give permission for his records to be released. Once Kerry does this then AP can request they be released by the govt.
Then if AP thought the Pentagon wasn't fully complying with their FOIA requests AND a pentagon Boss [such as President Bush] had ordered that Kerry's records {or all president candiates who had signed their 180 forms} to be searched by the govt. Then, a court could pass a similar ruling.
