Then it can become "our quagmire" again.
But I'm not really holding my breath for the Democrats to ever support "Bush's war".
The ironic thing is that if Kerry is elected, its still to the Democrats long-term advantage if Iraq remains a quagmire. Kerry could work to maintain the "quagmire situation" while blaming those war-mongering Republicans for leaving him the "quagmire". They could work to turn Iraq into another Vietnam, for the sole purpose of saying "See I told you so".
Would they do it? They are the Democrats, they're capable of anything when it comes to gaining power.
