CHARA Array
I furnish this old link only so you will know what I'm talking about.
I drive up to Mt. Wilson every year or so, just for fun (less than an hour drive). I've been following the CHARA construction as well as can be done from the limited access provided to tourists. It looks like all of the 6 scopes are now in place. They announced "first fringe" from the first two scopes that were installed some years ago. Since then, I've heard nothing about the status of the scope or if people are doing science on it or what.
Anyone know anything?
