I had another sort of toy though. It was a little record player for playing children's records. It had a sort of mirrored attachment that you placed on the spindle after you put the record on the player. The attachment had strips of longitudinally-mounted mirrors. As the record turned, you looked into the turning mirrors, which reflected a (reversed) view of a label with art that was affixed to the record. The art on the label was successive motion pictures (like you would see in a flip-book). The mirrors made your vision strobe from picture to picture so it resolved into a moving animation. The art illustrated the children's song that was playing.
