No you are wrong, it was more than that. There is on several websites a series of spectra from the mars Express/PFS showing a line labeled NH3 (ammonia). the spectra were obtained from February. After the story broke ESA changed the spectral line to "NH3 ?" - still a tentative detection in my book which was what I think was claimed in the media. Scoop of the year I think.
