Heinz is a multi-national, with plants around the world, but if as you say the Heinz plants serving the US were moved, and Kerry and his wife did not try to stop it, then it iwll cost him.

I actually think that Kerry may use the Onion joke as part of his stump speech. Raise taxes on billionaire's. That woudl be a good introduction for talking about "trickle down taxes" - the W Bush tax cuts for the wealthy have resulted in a rise in local taxes for the middle class.

If Kerry can talk about the Heinz plant moves, and his efforts to stop them, and what he learned along the way, from his personal experience, then he could use that to anchor the part of his speech laying out his plans to discourage it.

But that's a big "if".
