As far as the rebound, I don't know when it will come. I do know that it will be fearsome when it does.

The number of impoverished people is growing, the middle class is shrinking, there are a higher percentage of people in prison in the US than any other country in the world (and those are the ones we know about).

More and more people are feeling shut out of the "system", the American dream isn't possible for them, and when they finally get tired of conservatives robbing the poor to give to the rich, the backlash will be incredible.

That will be the scenario for "reparations" for slavery. If a significant number of blacks felt the "reparations" would be coming out of their pocket, there would be no reparations. And the longer conservatives keep power, the worse it will be the percentage of disenfranchised folks gets bigger and bigger.

The pendulum has always swung.
