The Kerry campaign and CBS tried to buy the American election with a counterfitted scandal.
The whole claim regarding Bush and his TANG service has been a ruse from the beginning, but it got out of hand.
The BDS or hate-Bush cult was egged on deliberately by the DNC to weaken Pres. Bush, but it ran away from them and took on a life of its own.
There was never any truth to the draft dodging, the awol or the shirking.
The people who bought into it were being manipulated by the DNC into finding a reason to hate Pres. Bush.
But it became an obsession for many, including apparently Dan Rather, who in the end sold out his career and decided to use what he knew to be counterfit evidence and a phony baloney loser like Ben Barnes to attack Pres. Bush.
I think the Bush campaign bet the haters would go too far, but I am sure they had no idea they would blow up so obviously and spectacularly.
Buth the thing about irrational pop-cults like the BDS is that they do end in blow-outs, and this one has.
Kerry thought he could campaign as the non-Bush candidate and the DNC bet that their cult of hate would last.
They bet wrong.
