Unions are big business also. I've worked accross the table from Union Representatives and seen very little ethical behavior from their side as well.
I've seen them throw seniority to the wind when it came down to laying off a dyed-in the wool union man who was lazy vs. a good worker who never complained about much of anything but worked hard to support his family.
Ask any union member who is honest and he can tell you stories of the Union going to the wall for crappy workers and hanging the good ones out to dry.
Maybe one of the reasons that big business has lost its way ethically is because it has had to deal with labor unions that are cut from the same cloth.
