Intelligence report: Iraq prospects bleak
Thursday, September 16, 2004 Posted: 12:16 PM EDT (1616 GMT)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A highly classified National Intelligence Estimate assembled by some of the government's most senior analysts this summer provided a pessimistic assessment about the future security and stability of Iraq.

However, our Leader disagrees. Why? Quote - " - - - because of the determination of the Iraqi people to build a free society."

Do you suppose that would be a society without foreign armies unaccountable to anyone but themselves roaming some of the streets? Shooting at Iraqis that seem to want a society without a puppet government acting at the behest of those armies? Gee whiz!! Not even bottle-rocket science.

The CIA will be spreading pap like this.

'But Bush said he was confident Iraq would emerge as a peaceful democratic nation because of the determination of the Iraqi people to build a free society.
'He said he expected Allawi's visit to the United States would help convince Americans not to be discouraged by disturbing news reports from the country.

"The Iraqi citizens are defying the pessimistic predictions," Bush said.

"The American people have seen horrible scenes on our TV screens. And the prime minister will be able to say to them that in spite of the sacrifices being made, in spite of the fact that Iraqis are dying, and U.S. troops are dying as well, that there is a will among the Iraqi people to succeed."

They do want to succeed, and they are succeeding.
