We don't need a draft for anything less tha full mobilization
There are plenty of volunteers available. The military is already creaming enlistees.
We could easily double the military. It is a money problem and draftees also cost money, probably more than volunteers.
You can't fight wars without spoils and political strategy instead of military strategy negates our technical and training advantage.
We have to mobilize the locals and provide support from bases outside the cities. In retrospect it was probably a mistake to disband the Iraqi army but once again we are driven by political considerations.
