Exoplanet scopes

Hi EP

I think the moon is probably not a great location for big optical interferometers because of all the seismic noise - the Moon continually "creaks" from tidal forces and that'd mess up interferometer exposures for sure. However big scopes at L1/2 will need long-duration manned facilities near-by and the Moon is a good place. Meteor screening, cosmic ray shield and thermal insulation all available cheap - it's called lunar regolith!
