A couple years back in CA, some punk kids were pointing their laser pointers at drivers eyes on the freeway and I was unlucky enough to be driving in the next lane. I'm normally a very peaceful person, but had they not made a hasty retreat off an offramp they would've come to experience a new dimension of bodily harm.

My left eye hurt for about an hour afterwards and it was only hit at an indirect angle for a moment--not that the idiot kid didn't try hard enough to keep it pointed at my eye.

That's what happens when places like Fry's Electronics puts them by the checkout counters so that irresponsible kids can purchase them.

Never mess with coherent radiation. It's not a toy.
