I'd love to see an eruption from a safe distance. I met one of the people in that famous picture in National Geographic of the people on the summit of Mt Hood the morning of the St Helens eruption. She had this weird look when she spoke of it. I can't descrbe it - a look of awe with some fear mixed in.
