Update: The U.N. Oil for Food scandal
From the New York Times:
Congressional investigators say that France, Russia and China systematically sabotaged the former United Nations oil-for-food program in Iraq by preventing the United States and Britain from investigating whether Saddam Hussein was diverting billions of dollars.
These facts have to be taken into consideration when thinking about:
- The current Democratic harping on those "allies" that are not on board.
-The obstruction of these same nations when trying to bring the United Nations on board.
- The hostility of some nations about the fall of Saddam.
