It's taken off.
"A carrier jet carrying the SpaceShipOne rocket lifted off from California's Mojave Desert this morning on a mission to capture the $10 million Ansari X Prize. If it goes well, the craft will race to at least 62 miles above the Earth carrying test pilot Brian Binnie and the weight of two passengers to the edge of space."
Dunno. I've got a funny feeling about this. They have had at least one recurring non-trivial problem on both flights. Wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't thought they'd fixed it, and then had the same or similar situation on the next flight.
Don't think NASA would be flying until they were more certain. And, of course, I might be wrong.
