Saddam's bribery strategy
Hey bribing the corrupt French, Chirac and others with "Oil for food" scams worked. He was astute enough to know what few admit, that France, Russia and others feel it is in their national interest to oppose successful democracy initiatives by the US. Meanwhile, the Bush is evil obsessed Euro and liberal US media would still have many believe that folks would be better off with the dictator still in power.
