Curiouser and curiouser....

Here's an odd one for you. The close-up pictures show bedding, but not at the angle one would expect. In theory, the polygonal cracks should be perpendicular to the bedding, but they aren't. Nowhere near it, in fact!

We might be hanging around here for a while to investigate these oddities...
