Space/Science

It was bound to happen.

There has always been a danger that those of us who are space-enthusiasts, like myself, [even space-fanatics]
will get "hoodwinked" now-and-then by charlatans and con-artists.
I'm not talking about those pseudo-scientists and anomalists like Velikovsky; we have enough
qualified engineers and scientists on this board to spot such characters and expose their crap.

What I'm referring to is to those individuals who 'promise' to open up space-travel
to the average Joe with Big Plans and impressive-looking projects: like 'mining asteroids',
opening up 'lunar casinos' or showing blueprints of a sea-launched or balloon-launched
passenger-carrying spacecraft when THEY are really only pulling a scam or putting out
a lot of hot-air.

Case in point? The Da Vinci Project.

Go over to the X-Prize forum and see what many, including John Carmack, say about
Brian Feeney and his supposed [Project Da Vinci] 'balloon-launched manned rocket'.
Many X-Prize fans on that forum site are already saying Brian Feeney is a FRAUD.

I feel very sorry for the citizens of Kindersley, Saskatchewan if the allegations that
Brain Feeney's Da Vinci Project is indeed FRAUDULENT.
I hope I'm wrong!!!...And If I am....I will personally say so on this site.
Brian has three weeks to prove me and his other detractors wrong.
