In Texas, High School Football is a big deal.
When i was a science teacher, I was expected to coach. I never played football, but being a male in Texas, it came with the job. So I learned a lot about football.
Try coaching a 7th grade team when you have never played before.
When I was in School, I ran Track and Cross Country. I went to State for CC. We had the second best CC team in Texas at the time, but a lousy football team. The football team still got way more money and spotlight than the CC team. It wasn't fair, but that is life.
