"Equipment and materials that could be used to make nuclear weapons" are not the same as nulcear weapons themselves, by a long shot. Neither are they a nuclear weapons development program, though they COULD be part of one. So could a whole lot of other equipment, which could also be used for other, benign purposes - oscilloscopes, power supplies, computers, etc, etc.
Did anyone ever claim that there was no equipment in Iraq that could possibly used as part of a nuclear weapons development program?
Seems to me that such equipment, even if part of a dormant program, or not but could have been, should have been tagged and closely monitored by the occupying forces. Allowing it to disappear to who knows where is irresponsible and could potentially assist a weapons development program elsewhere.
It would be interesting to see an inventory of the equipment in question, if such an inventory was ever performed.
And it doesn't matter who said what was where when, these guys were on watch when it walked.
This is making the world safer??

- But since Don says those programs didn't exist, it makes sense they are not there.
- "Equipment and materials that could be used to make nuclear weapons are disappearing from Iraq"? This stuff does not exist. That is why the whole WMD excuse was a lie. So don't worry about them. They… (n/t)
- There wasn't a WMD program in Iraq...What nuclear materials are they talking about? (n/t)
