John Young
Hello,
A friend of mine went to Cologne to see a large number of astronauts.
It's only later he realized the guy in front of him was John Young. He simply didn't recognize him (though he knows them all).
Ulf Merbold and Owen Garriott who flew with him on STS 9 had to help him get down some stairs. John Young made a speech about returning back to the Moon and going to Mars, but left before questions could be asked.
It's a reminder time passes (too quickly I'm afraid).
I just met astronauts today, but more about it later.
