The law governing the treatment of soldiers was made many years ago.
The casualties that have happened to soldiers from Houston have been anything but swept under the rug. The familes are in control, and the memorial services are very public, if the family chooses.
As I understand it, the military many years ago wanted its soldiers treated with respect and privacy, something that does not fit certain people's agendas right now, apparently.
We are in a war that the President told us up front was going to be tough and long term. Casualties, death and terrible injuries to our soldiers is a fact of this and every war.
They are being treated very honorably, in the opinion of most people.
