Aft enclosure
The aft enclosure on the Chinese RV was a spherical section. That technology was pioneered with the GE MK-VI in the early 1960s. A spherical aft enclosure provides good aerodynamic stability for the lower Mach numbers. The Chinese did their homework for this design. They effectively utilized American technology to minimize their own R-and-D cost.
