Space/Science » in reply to China offers the world alternative fuel "rocket" cars...

Please, no...

Imagine the adventures at gasoline bowsers coverted to hydrogen peroxide delivery:-

Gasoline is amazingly friendly stuff and hard to ignite without a direct flame, spark, or red-hot surface.

H2O2, on the other hand, can ignite on contact with transition metals, including the trace amounts used in colouring and surface treatment of shoe leather, cotton or wool products - i.e. clothes! Any scrap of copper (wiring, anyone?), Jewelery, Tin Cans, etc. could be a source of massive spontaneous ignition.

Watch the Grand Prix fuel stops. Every now and again, something goes wrong and several guys are engulfed in flame. They all wear fireproof suits and are surrounded by a trained fire team. They only use gasoline.

Imagine all that risk, on a mom-and-pop pump station and cars MADE IN CHINA!
